What is the Top Rank Attorneys list?

The list is based on peer votes, which are carefully collected from other Nevada attorneys who are in good standing with the State Bar of Nevada and are actively practicing in the state.
How does the voting system work?
To be eligible to vote, an attorney must:
- Be licensed to practice in Nevada.
- Be an active attorney in the state.
When a vote was verifiably submitted by a qualifying attorney, that vote was then scored on a point system. If that attorney voted for somebody within their firm, it was counted as one point. If the vote came from somebody outside of the candidate’s firm, it was counted as three points. The top attorneys with the most points made the Northern Nevada, Southern Nevada, and Best Up and Coming lists.
Who qualifies to make the Top Rank Attorneys list?
To qualify as a Top Rank Attorney, the eligibility process is rigorous, with multiple layers of verification done by the editorial team. In order to make the list, attorneys needed to make the cut with the most points from attorneys within their own firm and peers from other firms in the region. Additionally, eligible attorneys need:
- A license to practice law in the State of Nevada.
- Good standing with the State Bar of Nevada, with no disciplinary actions on record.
- Active status with the bar and a verifiable Nevada State Bar number.
According to the magazine’s editorial team, only the top 3 percent of Nevada’s attorneys are included in this exclusive list.
